My Yeti Ultimate arrived today and I am very excited. Visually it is in good condition considering it’s from 1989. Looking closer there is a crack where the seat tube ends and the seat post is stuck in the frame. The crack in the seat tube is a common problem with old Yetis and won’t give me much headache I suspect, if I can find a competent welder. Having spent the entire evening trying to remove the seat post I suspect this will be the major problem with this bike. But things could be worse, at least there is no rust on the frame.
